HISORY AND ESTABLISHMENT


Initially this hotel was known as the Hotel Ainslie. Olims Hotel Canberra is one of the heritage buildings left today. It was in 1927, the same year when the old parliament house opened, that the building Olims Hotel Canberra was also opened and it is present till date. It is one of those hotels whose foundation dates are old, which in turn gives it an edge over others in the business. Olims Hotel Canberra has maintained its charm over the years.

THE FOUNDERS

Olims Hotel Canberra was designed by the architect CFA voysey. It was built in the English deco style. Olims Hotel Canberra was established to initially house members of parliament and public servants. From 1930 the hotel was privately run by the Spendlove family, and as a result of this it came to be known as Spend love’s hotel.

ACCOMMODATION

The hotel offers 3.5 star accommodations and is equipped with all the modern comforts and facilities hotel accommodation. Visitors can really relax and can enjoy their stay in one of our Heritage, Superior or Deluxe Loft style hotel rooms, with everything they need for a relaxed and memorable stay.
The Deluxe Loft Room is a split level room with a kitchenette, and a lounge which is downstairs, and the queen bed is located in the loft, and the bathroom is upstairs.  A 42 inch LCD is also available   and there is a 17 inch television present in the loft.
The Superior Queen Room which is rated 3.5 stars consists of one queen sized bed for a maximum of two people. In addition to this there are Superior Twin Rooms and Heritage Rooms, for the comfort desired by the visitors.

RECREATION

Over the years, in order to maintain the prestige of the hotel, it has been recreated and renovated on a number of times.
